Welcome to 2020!
As the Managing Director of Duane Morris Government Strategies, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past year.
2019 was an exciting year for DMGS and for our country. As policies and initiatives shifted federally and in states, our firm was involved and helping shape changes at all levels of government and in all directions. As we continue to grow, we added new team members and clients across states and industries. We additionally saw newer technologies and industries blossom like electric vehicles and cannabis, along with an overall new awareness of the importance of quality infrastructure. As usual, health care continues to be a major part of the public conversation.
2019 was also an exciting time for elections and we were there to keep you up to speed as states like New Jersey, Kentucky and Louisiana headlined the off-year election cycle. 2020 is sure to be even more exciting with a Presidential election. Several states also have referendums on the ballots ranging from funding for education, restorative justice, and infrastructure to environmental issues and adult cannabis legalization, and as always, we will be here to keep you apprised of all the most relevant developments.
This is sure to be a monumental time for our country and we look forward serving as a resource for you. I look forward to continuing to see our company grow and I thank you as allies and partners for being a part of that growth. I wish you all the best and look forward to interacting in 2020.
Sincerely,
Eric Martins
